About Diane

Diane Mashburn, a third generation Childress native, is revered as an unflinching community advocate, a far-reaching philanthropist and a visionary real estate leader.  Her tireless work ethic and sharp business acumen have led to more than five distinguished decades of success in commercial, farm & ranch, land and residential real estate.  Under her guidance, she has helped bring to Childress top brands such as Walmart, Starbucks, Pak-A-Sak and Pilot.

Diane began her real estate career in 1979 before establishing Mashburn Realty & Investments in 1982.  She is among the most accomplished real estate professionals in Northwest Texas and the recipient of numerous accolades for her significant contributions to economic development, including the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Childress Chamber of Commerce, the Lifetime Achievement Award by The Red River Sun, the Woman of the Year Award by the Childress Business Women’s Club, and for Distinguished Services as Alderman for the Childress City Council.  She has also served as Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners for the Childress Housing Authority and Director of the Childress Chamber of Commerce.

Diane and her husband, Charlie, have been married for more than 50 years.  Staunch supporters of the Childress Independent School District, they continue to build upon a tradition of championing educational opportunities with the development of a new 4H & FFA facility and providing annual scholarships for all qualifying students to attend college.  Together, they are committed to helping Childress enhance its remarkable quality of life through the legacy establishment of the Mashburn Infusion Center at the Childress Regional Medical Center and the community-driven Mashburn Event Center & Arena.
